Campus to Campus — CRIT Esports ACS Edu Tour Season 5, Sabah

October 2026 · Kota Kinabalu

The ACS Edu Tour is one of Malaysia’s biggest university esports circuits. Now in its fifth season, it spans 111 institutions nationwide, features a RM200,000 prize pool, and draws over 6,200 players competing in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. JUMPA was appointed by CRIT Esports Malaysia as their official Sabah logistics and events partner, and this was our second year running it.

What that means in practice is this: months of groundwork before a single booth goes up. University by university, we coordinated the approvals, managed the relationships, handled the logistics, packed and transported the booths, set up the venues, and made sure every stop ran the way it was supposed to. Each campus is its own operation with its own contacts, its own space and its own energy. Multiply that by eight and you get a sense of what the Sabah leg actually looks like behind the scenes.

The tour made stops at MAHSA University, University of Cyberjaya, City University Malaysia, AMC University College, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), UNITAR International University and Kolej Teknologi Yayasan Sabah (KTYS) before the State Finals at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) on 12 and 13 October 2026.

The scale:

  • ACS Edu Tour Season 5 is a national programme spanning 111 institutions, 1,552 teams and over 6,200 players across Malaysia. The Sabah leg covered 8 campuses before culminating in a two-day State Finals at UMS. Strategic brand partners present at each stop included Tune Talk, VICO and Maggi Hot Cup, each with booths, activations and goodie bag distributions for students.

What we did:

  • JUMPA handled all Sabah logistics and on-ground event execution for CRIT Esports across the full season. This covered university liaison and booking coordination across all campuses, venue setup at each stop including sponsor booths for Tune Talk, VICO and Maggi Hot Cup, logistics and transportation of all booth materials and equipment across the entire tour, campus relationship management, manpower, and full production of the State Finals at UMS on 12 and 13 October 2026. The finals ran with professional marshals managing the floor and a live commentary team based in Kuala Lumpur casting the games remotely as the matches played out in Sabah.

Insider’s take: Eight campuses, eight different sets of contacts, spaces and histories. Some needed trust rebuilt before anything else. We went in early, stayed consistent and showed up properly at every stop. By the time the UMS finals were live with commentators casting from KL, it was clear the groundwork paid off.
