SIPMA 1st Installation Ceremony & Dinner

Every association has a founding chapter. For the Sabah Integrated Pest Management Association, the 1st Installation Dinner 2026 was exactly that moment — the night SIPMA formally installed its leadership and announced its presence to the industry. JUMPA was appointed to bring that night to life from the ground up.
We worked closely with the SIPMA committee from the planning stage through to execution, ensuring every element of the evening reflected the significance of the occasion. This was a first for the association, and it needed to feel like one.
The scale:
- The event was officiated by Datuk Ts Mustapha Sakmud, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs), with SIPMA Chairman Mervin Liew presiding over the installation proceedings. The dinner drew industry players, government representatives, academic partners and association members from across Sabah’s pest management sector. Coverage from the event was picked up by Daily Express.
What we did:
- JUMPA handled end-to-end event management for the evening, working in close collaboration with the SIPMA organising committee throughout the planning process. Our scope covered full event planning and coordination, emcee and programme flow management, visual backdrop and stage design, reception setup and guest management, photography, and on-ground execution on the night itself.
Insider’s take: An installation dinner carries a particular kind of weight. There’s ceremony involved, there are people in the room who have worked years to get to this moment, and the programme has to honour that without feeling stiff. Getting the balance right between formal and warm is in reading the room and making minute changes on the fly.
