Coffee & Cocktail is JUMPA’s invite-only networking series, founded by our very own PR Director, Mr Dinoza Mahruf. What started as a way to bring together the people he’d connected with along the years, has grown into one of Kota Kinabalu’s most anticipated gatherings – now 20+ editions strong and going.
This open, agenda-free event creates a welcoming atmosphere where you can connect with like-minded professionals, share experiences, exchange ideas, and discover new opportunities for mutual growth.
The scale:
- 40–80 attendees per volume
- 20+ editions and counting
- Rotating venues across Kota Kinabalu
- Vol. 10 took the series to Kuala Lumpur, outside Kota Kinabalu for the first time
Every edition pairs a carefully curated guest list with a host venue, and at times partners who brings something interesting to the room. Past highlights have included hands-on experiences with Volvo cars through Sebangga Group, free scalp assessment via Ooosh! and wine tastings via Winecellars. Light food and drinks are part of the deal, because the best conversations happen when people are comfortable.
What hasn’t changed across 20+ editions: no sales pitches, no panels, no keynotes. Coffee & Cocktail exists for one reason – to put the right people in the same room and let things naturally unfold.
